Lori Joy Smith, Illustrator
There is something extremely original and heartwarming about Lori which comes through when you view her work.
When asked why Lori enjoys creating greeting cards, she replies that she most enjoys the fact that a genuine thought or engendering gesture from one person to another inspires the need for its creation. The primary value of the artwork is not overshadowed by the monitary value. The cost, unlike most art, is mucht less and yet can mean so much more.
Although she focusses primarily on illustration for children's books and greeting cards, Lori has produced works in a wide variety of media including sculpture and textiles. She graduated from the Concordia Fine Arts Program in Montréal in 1997.
Currently, Lori's work is being published and distributed in the United States only. To view examples of her greeting cards and children's book illustrations please visit her personal website : Lori Joy Smith
